In brief: Water...not peroxide
Modern wound care theory suggests peroxide goes beyond killing the bacteria.
...It also kills the fibroblasts - cells that help wound healing. I suggest gently cleaning with a mild soap and water, and keeping the areas moisturized. Apply a little neosporin or Bacitracin can be helpful, although plain vaseline usually works just as well.

In brief: No Wound Care Instructions From Doctor?
Each doctor has their own methods.
I never liked secondary healing for my cancer excisions and reconstructions. http://plasticsurgery4u.com/procedure_folder/nasal_recon_folder/nasal_recon_bishopm.html i also did not leave my patients having to ask family or forums how to manage their wound care. The proof is in just what the results look like. Avoiding docs who do not show results or leave you on your own would be nice in general. But after the fact, peroxide kills healing cells and something i never recommended my patients for a healing wound. But then i did not leave my patients to heal secondarily. Sorry that page is old, someday i hope to update it to my newer format. Here is wound care forum to discuss: http://www.Abodybeautiful.Com/forum/index.Php/board, 53.0.Html with linking working.
