In brief: 2 weeks

A total laparoscopic hysterectomy done with the da vinci robot makes for a much easier recovery than a traditional hysterectomy.
Usually patients can go home the same day or after an overnight hospital stay. Most can go back to work in 2 weeks unless they have a physically demanding job. No intercourse for 6-8 weeks.

In brief: Quicker

Most people will be in the hospital as same day surgery or overnight stay.
I let my patients drive after a week if they are not on narcotics. Work is ok after 2-3 weeks if the job is not involving heavy lifting. Intercourse is allowed after the 6 week check up
