Don't know if your. Doc has you on Acyclovir or similar. Also, zostrix (capsaicin) vaccine may decrease future outbreaks. Prednisone can be helpful & is safe if used for short period of time -can help limit long term neuralgia. The only supplement i know of is lysine 500-1000mg 3x/ day during outbreak but it can interact w some antibiotics so check w doc.
