What are the techniques for managing allodynia?

Pain sensitivity. Pain that occurs from a stimulus that ordinarily does not provoke pain is called allodynia. This can occur from nerve stimulation from injury. If the source of the nerve pathway problem is found, then nerve blocks done soon after the onset of the disorder might have a better chance in reducing the pain. Some newer medications that are not narcotics have been found by neurologists to help.
Exercise. While it is hard to exercise when you hurt, it is worth it. Exercise is the only thing that has been proven to help.
