In brief: Blurred vision
Dilation typically lasts between 4-6 hours.
During this time, more light will enter the eye, making things seem brighter. Additionally, the focusing muscles of the eyes are temporarily paralyzed. This causes near vision (as well as distance vision in some individuals) to be blurred until the dilation wears off. You may want to bring someone to drive you if this is your first time being dilated.
