In brief: Not peroxide

Peroxide has little to no place in wound care silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) has some uses but without a wound description i cannot judge further.

In brief: Simple No-No's

The real question is what not to do that slows down healing.
Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover the area with a clean dressing changed every other day and protected from trauma. Antibiotics do not help healing unless it is truly infected.

In brief: Not at all

Peroxide kills the cells that you are trying to form to heal the wound.

In brief: Wound care

Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) is a great wound care agent as it keeps a wound moist and has good antibacterial properties.
It can be used on the majority of wounds. Peroxide just to clean the wound can be good initially but long term usage can injure the cells necessary for wound healing.
