I am 4weeks pregnant and have a slight head cold with possible fever, can this harm the fetus in any way?

Generally no, usually associated with the common cold.
If fever is very high, > 102 f and not resolved with tylenol (acetaminophen) it would be important to follow up with your OB physician. Very important to manintain adequate hydration.

Fetuses are very protected from mom's illness especially when temp <100.
4. If higher, this could indicate a bacterial infection or a more serious viral illness like flu and you should consult your health provider. If your fever is low and you don't have severe body aches, this probably is just a plain cold and will resolve on it's own, call md if longer than 2 wks or if fever >100.4.
