Is there anyone with words of encouragement I can send to my mom who was just told she has bladder cancer?

3 doctors agree
In brief: Bladder cancer
In most cases it can be managed successfully with medications like a chronic disease.
A minority will have more aggressive cancer. First stop smoking.

In brief: Mostly cureable
Most cases of bladder cancer are low grade and have a good prognosis if treated early.
High grade and advanced bladder cancer may require extensive surgery. However, again most cases can respond farably to numerous combinations of surgery, radiation and /or chemotherapy. A second opinion from a uro-oncologist may be helpful.
