Add one more layer to your baby's clothing than you need to keep warm whether inside or outdoors. Example: you-undershirt, shirt, sweatshirt; baby-onesy, shirt, sweater, blanket. Too many clothes and overbundling can cause baby overheating.

In brief: Keep them warm

Your newborn baby is at high risk of temperature instability.
In general, dress him like you are dressed. She should be bundled in their carseat to go outside, and have a blanket or carseat cover so she don't breathe cold air into their lungs. Also, his immune system is immature so keep him out of crowded places indoors to decrease the chance of catching an infection such as the flu or rsv.
