In brief: Psychotherapy & EFT
Psychotherapy is natural ;) & would be a good thing to do to explore, process & resolve the insecurities.
I would also recommend a self help tool, eft (emotional freedom technique); it is my experience that it is quite effective & quick at helping with shyness & public speaking anxieties. Check it out at www.Eftuniverse.Com let me know what u think or if u need further help! wishing u well...

In brief: Desensitization
You can desensitize yourself to speaking situations.
Involvement in groups like toastmasters can provide frequent safe opportunities to speak, and to relieve the anxiety. Deep slow breathing can effectively reduce anxiety quickly.

Seems simple or not even logical but chamomile tea is a relaxing beverage that does not blunt ones thinking processes.

In brief: Phobias
If not contraindicated, try valerian or kava kava or green tea & ginseng, also same.

In my experience, unfortunately natural remedies rarely work for the social phobia. Cognitive behavioral therapy has found to be very helpful. In addition, medications, such as benzodiazepines or antidepressants has been found to be very beneficial, both in research or in my practice.
