Hypochondriasis is hard to diagnose. Most people with this disorder are convinced they are medically ill. Unfortunately even with negative tests they are not convinced and physicians one after the other, usually, feel compelled to repeat tests and the person worries then even more. Somewhere in this process records need to be compiled, and a Psychiatric evaluation completed so care can start.
