My friends family memebers every had a cancer. Would it be possible for him also cancer there?

In brief: Yes

Cancer is common.
Lifetime risks: 1 in 3 for women & 1 in 2 for men of developing cancer. That said, cancer is not an even distribution in the population, so some families have very little cancer and some have a lot. Part of that may be random or statistical chance and part may be shared risk factors in the environment and/or genetics. A good family history and possible genetic counselor can help.
