In brief: Okay...?

An isolated high value of a test within the described scenario may not be clinically relevant.
In fact, high Dht indicates your bio-active form of testosterone is good, so it's logical not to assert much concern on your daily life. Bottom line is still your energy and ability on how to effectively take on personal and occupational life. If still in doubt, ask doc timely with optional Dht retest.

In brief: Genetics

Genetics is a crude answer that explains a lot but probably not in enough detail.
There's a wide range of normal for total t but excess shbg can lower free t, that fraction or amount that actually does what we associate w/t, eg muscle, hair, sex drive, etc. Genetics accounts for conversion of t via 5ar enzyme into Dht which causes hair loss. 5ari stops conversion & can slow loss of hair.
