In brief: Depends

Questions: have you had migraines of any kind.
Before? What were the triggers? Were any related to menstrual cycle? Was your first migraine after puberty? Are these headaches the same or different from other headaches? If migraines started in puberty and were related to your cycle, then more likely hormonal. If they differ in quality, are more intense/frequent, and you worry, see a neurologist.

In brief: May be possible

Hormones may play a role in "silent migraines".
Here i assume you are talking about seeing a migraine aura (zig-zag flashing lights with blind spots in the vision) without getting an actual headache. There can be many triggers, and foods are the most common. Try to keep a log of what you did or ate a few hours before the migraine, and you might figure out a triggering cause.
