In brief: Regular floss

Floss picks are not very flexible and do not present an ideal "wipe" to clean a curved tooth surface.
By using manual floss you can manipulate better to capture more plaque. However, given the choice of floss picks or no floss... Then floss pick. Do it twice daily and skipping days is like not flossing at all!

In brief: Floss!

Proper flossing is absolutely the better way to keep your teeth clean and your gums healthy in between your teeth.
The use of picks can more easily cause damage if not used properly. Make sure you consult with your dentist or dental hygienist to help determine what is best for your particular circumstances and go over the techniques personally with you.
