I just recently had the rest of my top teeth removed. Does that mean i can eventually get an upper denture?

In brief: Denture

Yes. You will need to heal for a while before getting the denture.
Ask your dentist how long.

In brief: Maybe Implants

Dentures move all around.
If you can have 4-6 mini-implants, then the denture can snap onto these implants thereby keeping them from moving. Remember that not all patients are good candidates for implants. If yor are, then do it if you can afford the cost.

In brief: Sure

You could have had an immediate denture the same day.
You likely also have the option for 2 implants and an attachment overdenture which snaps in place; or 4 -6 implants and fixed teeth. See a prosthodontist for evaluation. If you are military, there should be one on staff at the dental clinic. Good luck. (retired navy prosthodontist).

In brief: Yes.

A complete denture replaces all the teeth in one jaw.
It can be a simple denture or an implant-retained and/or supported denture depending on the patient's needs and desires. If all your teeth on top are gone, a simple denture is the least expensive way to replace them.
