Got my toe nail removed partially by accident. How many months does it take to grow it back?

In brief: 1 yr+for new toenail
It can take 12 to 18 months for a toenail to grow out completely.
Often it does well without problems, but if trauma damaged and scarred the nail matrix, or the cuticle of the toe, then the nail plate may become disfigured permanently.
