In brief: Probably not.

If you happen to be a professional player, then maybe.
Otherwise, plain x-rays will show most fractures. If you have persisting pain with no visible break on x-ray, a ct scan may be considered to take a closer look at the structures of the wrist. If this is the case, then an MRI may also be considered, which can better show the soft tissues (like tendons and ligaments) if there is a sprain/strain.
