Have had 7spinal surgeries n past 6yrs, no longer able 2 take baclofen (on it 5yrs), so? Is Soma or flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) better 4 someone n constant spasm?, help
Soma (carisoprodol) isn't good. Soma is converted into a form of a horse tranquilizer in the body. I do not personally prescribe it. Skelaxin, (metaxalone) zanaflex, or Flexeril would be better options for you.
Depends upon you. Some people get great results from medications that others either find useless or having bad side effects. Either of the meds you mentioned require a prescription so I suggest you call the office of your surgeon. In my experience, both Soma and Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) can be very effective, but patients usually get more sleepy with flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl).
