Can Prilosec and Pepcid (famotidine) be taken together? I just started a Prilosec regime, but it would be nice to take something for the acid right now.

In brief: They can.

Although Prilosec and Pepcid can be taken at the same time, you may be better off using Tums or mylanta to get immediate relief of your acid while you are waiting for the Prilosec regimen to kick in.
Those antacids will work more quickly than Pepcid will.
