If you smoke around your child, will it give them the idea that it's ok to smoke?

In brief: Yes

Your children aren't stupid.
They watch and learn from the world around them, especially from the parents who they love and trust. They'll be most impressionable when they're young. Once they start smoking, it's unlikely that they'll quit-- even when they're older and mature enough to realize that adults aren't always right. By then: too late, they're addicted.

In brief: Yes

Tendency to follow the parents that smoke.
Parents are usually addicted to nicotine and have difficulty quitting where as kids can easily stop. The lung association had done a lot to stop smoking in public.
