1 doctor agrees
In brief: Voiding and stooling
It all depends.
Many breastfed infants may have numerous bowel movements per day or not have one in several days. Is your baby gaining weight? Is he struggling to have a bowel movement? Any unusual stools for your baby? Mucus? Blood? As far as voids we all love at least six wet diapers per day. Is the urine smelly? Blood? Pain ? Dark? Al these need to be discussed with your doctor asap!

In brief: Too much, too little
If your child is going to the bathroom very frequently it could be a sign of an infection, especially if their urine is foul smelling.
If your child is rarely going to the bathroom it may be a sign of dehydration- in either case you should see your dr. Children should urinate every couple of hours and have one soft bowel movement daily. If they do not discuss constipation with your dr.
