Both armpit glands are swollen w/ a scratchy throat and runny nose. Can it just be a virus? My armpit glands have never been sore and swollen.

In brief: Viral infection?

Runny nose, sore throat, and swelling of glands are usually associated with a viral infection such as adenovirus or ebstein-barr virus infection.
Most viral infections are taken care of by our immune system in due course. If you feel sick, you need to see your doctor to make sure that you do not suffer from infections, which need an antibiotic such as cat-scratch disease or a bacterial infection.
