In brief: Eliminate the cause

Dr.Ferdows's answer is correct.
But another road is to determine what triggers the attack, such as infections, allergies, excercise, cold air, irritants such as cigarrette smoke, and eliminate exposure to them.

In brief: Medication

If your child is wheezing this could point toward the child having asthma.
It is important to see a primary care provider who will run tests to determine the cause of the wheezing. Your pcp may prescribe an albuterol rescue inhaler and possibly something else depending upon the severity of the wheezing. Please take your child in to see someone as this could be potentially serious if untreated.
