Are there any contra indications with taking butterbur and taking dilitiazem for migraine?

In brief: Not really, but

Although you could use both together with impunity, could be easiest if you just took the butterbur and pushed the dosage to about 75 mg of purified butterbur 3 times daily, and see if that alone succeeded, as in 76 % of research pts, it did indeed work well.
However, the Diltiazem could well have been chosen due to your specifics, so discuss with your doctor prior to going in the above direction.

In brief: Diltiazem

For diltiazem, a calcium channel blocker, i would be careful if someone has intolerance to the drug, borderline low blood pressure, heart blocks, or low heart rate.
