The best contact depends on the age and maturity level of the child.
I will often recommend daily disposable contacts for younger patients, as it decreases the chance of problems from not cleaning effectively enough/frequently enough, and works well for kids who have busy or variable schedules. Sleepover plans? Just grab an extra set of lenses, no need to worry about solutions, etc.

Find a lens thats comfortable, disposable and very breathable (high o2 transmission). A good brands is acuvue.
