How can I be sure that I'm having nocturnal seizures. What are symptoms and things I should look for when I awake?

Could be tough. If you sleep alone, you may not be completely sure, but some clues include, awakening on floor next to bed, tongue sore in am, back or neck aching in am, episode of bed wetting or bowel movement, am confusion, perhaps dull diffuse headache, nearby objects astray. Independent answer might come from sleep-deprived eeg or even ambulatory eeg. See an epileptologist.
