What might be the cause of an abs. Neutrophil count of <500 (when all other bc counts are within normal ranges)? Is bone marrow biopsy the next step?

In brief: Medications

Any new meds? Recent infection.
Cyclic neutropenia is a possibility. I agree that blood counts need to be checked twice a week. However, a bone marrow biopsy is a thought. But would rule out a medication induced cause.

In brief: It well

Could be. A conservative recommendation would be to check CBC 2times per week to evaluate for cyclic neutropenia.
