In brief: Category C

Domperidone is rated pregnancy category c.
That is, "animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks." so, if you can avoid it, i would. As always, talk with your doc about it. There may be other ways to help lactation.

Many medications are Category C but when the need is sufficient, you can consider using the medication. Domperidone is to help with excessive vomiting during pregnancy, if other methods aren't effective, your doctor may consider it's use. Severe dehydration and possible malnutrition from hyperemesis is also not good for your baby. You need to discuss the choice seriously with your doctor.

I have had patients, and family, with difficult pregnancies that had to use it and done fine, but it is always a balance between potential risk and benefits...good luck with your pregnancy!
