In brief: PCOS & Pregnancy
With pcos we need to be concerned both with getting pregnant and doing everything to insure a positive outcome.
Miscarriage and gestational diabetes appear to occur more often in women with pcos. The risk for miscarriage may be greater if you've had prior miscarriage and are treated simply with clomid (clomiphene).

Normalizing androgens, weight, HgbA1C and may reduce the time to pregnancy and help achieve a better outcome. Low glycemic diet with increased Omega 3 fats and avoiding trans-fats and saturated fat is important. Resistance training exercises build muscle and reduce insulin resistance. Metformin [generic only], when combined with the above, can restore normal cycles & result in weight loss.

Please note that while Glucophage XR is easier on the stomach, a recent large clinical trial find that it was not very effective. Unfortunately, this study did not compare the XR and the generic which do not appear similar in results when treating PCOS.

Maybe. It depends on the severity of the pcos, as this condition is often associated with dysfunction of the ovaries by many cysts.
Fertility can be compromised in pcos and it is important to see your physician frequently to treat you for the pcos. There are other issues with pcos e.g. Hyperinsulinism that can be a factor. Work closely with your medical consultants to help you.
