In brief: Abdominal pain

Abdominal pain requires a proper history and physical.
In the upper abdomen (below lower rib cage), some of the possibilities include, reflux disease, gastric ulcers, gallstones, and lower chest issues. Your primary doctor will want to know when is the pain? Is it related to eating? Previous history of this? What improves it? See your physician to start and he may refer you to a specialist.
