I am 26 weeks and anemic. I am starting to take iron pills but how has this affected baby so far?

In brief: Baby takes your Iron

The baby takes iron from you as you are it's food source.
This may of contributed to your anemia. If the anemia was not extreme, it should not affect the baby. It is important to take iron now (w/ or w/o stool softeners) so that you can build up your blood levels before delivery.
