Itchy Mole. An itchy mole can be a symptom of melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer. However, you have to take into consideration other factors that may be causing your mole to itch. Are you using a new laundry detergent? Do you use lotion that contains fragrances or other chemicals that is irritating the skin? Think about what products you use and how they may cause skin irritation. See your doc.
You mean itchy skin. You mean itchy skin around the mole. If it is melanoma it should be srgically excised asap but itchy skin around a mole can be a sign of cancer and you need to consult a dermatologist to find out what it is I hope that was your question but if it is melanoma as you asked get it taken care of asap.
It could. Remember your abcd's when thinking of melanoma. Look for moles with asymmetry boarders that are irregular color differences within the same mole diameter greater than 6mm also any new mole or old that starts to itch, bleed or ulcerate should be of concern. Another rule is the ugly duckling rule. Which refers to a mole that looks distantly different from the others on your body.
This require urgent attn? I have a 2-3mm elevated mole like. Skin color/whitish, shaved over by error so looks grown. Itchy, soft. Is it kind of melanoma?
Not on the internet. I am sorry but that is impossible to answer without examination and perhaps biopsy. Please go see your physician.
See dermatologist. Irregular border and itching are 2 reasons to have a mole examined by a dermatologist. Any change in the appearance of a mole and/ or the onset of itching, pain, bleeding warrants a visit to the dermatologist. These warning signs for melanoma; diagnosis is made with biopsy.
I've had a itchy mole (pic up loaded) wondering if it looks ok? Mum passed from melanoma 2 years ago : (
Be safe. Check with your doc and MAKE SURE YOUR DOC KNOWS ABOUT YOUR MOM'S MELANOMA. Your doc may want to take pictures also.
Dermatology. I'm not sure how to access your upload. Since the mole is itching, it is best to go to your primary care physician or dermatologist to have an excisional biopsy. That will also help relieve your anxiety and worry. I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. Take care.
See your derm. With your family history, I would recommend that you see a dermatolgist at least twice a year for skin cancer screening. Any changes in skin lesions should be brought to the attention of your friendly dermatologist.
I have had itchy skin head to my toes now for 3 months is there something I can take that will help me also have had diarrhea nowfor about 2 months?
Needs evaluation. Hi, this is not normal and could be anything from skin disorder to liver/gallbladder disease to infection. Have you been to a doctor to try and determine the cause? Once we know possible reasons for pruritis (itching) more effective/specific treatment can be suggested. Hope you get help soon.
Yes. Apart from pigmented lesions mole may represent other lesions. Recommend consultation with dermatologist with biopsy as needed.
Possible. It is possible for a mole to be itchy and not be melanoma, but I would recommend that any mole be removed if it is causing symptoms, as a precaution. Moles should not burn, itch, or otherwise cause pain.
Yes. Itching isn't a typical feature of melanoma. Asymmetry, irregular borders, change in color and diameter over 6 mm are the usual things to look for.
Itchy skin bump/sore on neck with a thin "scratch" line running up/connecting to another sore on the back of head appx. 2½ins away. Bumps on body also.
Bumps w/ scratch lin. On arms and legs too? May be scabies for which Elimite (permethrin) is used (http://www. Cdc. Gov/parasites/scabies/treatment. Html) or bedbugs, chiggers, ringworm. Sometime if there is infection as well give antibiotics. F/u/ w/ doc urgent care.
Well. Well this could be an internal problem like a liver disease or kidney disease or diabetes or parasites or a problem with your blood chemistry or even parasites. You can develop a rash from a product you've used for a long time like laundry soap shampoo soap's perfumes lotions. Recommend Healthtap visit or primary care doctor visit for specific diagnosis and treatment.
Cold symptoms. Headaches, congestion, runny nose are typical upper respiratory infection (URI) symptoms. Many viruses can also cause rash and/or itchy skin.
