Lupus. Systemic lupus erythematosus (sle) aka lupus, may affect any organ system but mostly involves the skin, kidneys, joints, blood cells/ vessels, and the nervous system. A rheumatologist will look for a group of symptoms and test results that point towards a specific diagnosis. Since sle is the body attacking itself , current treatments are aimed at stopping this from occurring and relieving symptoms.
About Crohn's disea. Crohn's disease is inherited through genes and is not contagious. It can be painful when flare-ups occur and may affect any part of the digestive system from the mouth to the anus. It commonly causes abdominal pain and diarrhea (possibly with blood). Medications and surgeries are used to treat crohn's, with the goal of keeping patients in the best nutritional condition possible.
