In brief: Screening test

Stress test is a screening test to determine if ischemia is present.
It has good although not perfect reliability. You should discuss the results and next steps with your cardiologist.

In brief: Reversible ischemia

Depends. Is there a history of ealy fmaily coronary heart disease.
.I would be wary with a positive test and at least get the opinion of a cardiologist. Occasionally we see early heart disease and a plain echo is not useful for those in many cases.
