I agree with the above advice and would just add that imaging isn't always definitive in managing pain.
Tissues can be inflamed and quite painful without the structural changes that would show up in an MRI or xray.

Tmj\tmd is not something that you generally just treat and it's cured.
There are many contributing factors and episodes of stress, not wearing an appliance, gum chewing, etc. Can cause ongoing symptoms. When was the last time you saw your dentist for an evaluation? Are you following all instructions? See your dentist and perhaps an ENT specialist to rule out any medical issues.
