In brief: Avoid allergens
The best way to treat allergies is avoidance.
If you can identify things that you are allergic to, and decrease or eliminate exposure, you will do much better. It is often not that simple, and an allergist can help you. Allergists will take a detailed history, do an exam, and then if necessary do allergy testing. This can pinpoint the important allergens that are causing problems.
