In brief: Generally Not

As blepharitis is treated and controlled, the inflammation and associated blocked pores at the lid margins usually improve and return to normal.
However, recurrences of blepharitis are common and some preventive care can reduce the risks.

In brief: No, not generally.

As long as you are vigilant at keeping the condition stable and asymptomatic, the eyelid margin usually retains its healthy appearance.
Once treated and stabilized, i recommend a continued maintenance of warm soapy massages of the eyelids during shower time forever. This seems to help the chronic sufferer or the frequent relapser. Also fish, fish oil, and/or flax seed oil in diet is helpful.
