In brief: Probably a cyst

Cysts are small, firm bumps under the skin that are filled with keratin.
When squeezed, some will produce the keratin which is white, cheesy and sometimes stinky. If it is not causing problems or growing, we tend to leave them alone, but it is important for your doctor to confirm the diagnosis. Sometimes, if it is not clearly a cyst, we can biopsy the spot to be sure.

In brief: Cyst

A cyst is a closed, saclike structure that contains fluid, gas, or semisolid material and is not a normal part of the tissue where it is located.
Cysts are common and can occur anywhere in the body in people of any age. Cysts vary in size; they may be detectable only under a microscope or they can grow so large that they displace normal organs and tissues. The outer wall is called the capsule.
