If I have high cholesterol, should I completely avoid bagel and cream cheese?

Ok if part of a diet. A single food item is no big deal in a cholesterol patient's diet. It is the total fat, sugar, simple carbohydrates, and calories per day that matter. A bagel is simple carbs. Cheese is protein and animal fat, which is worse that veggie fat. So, eating cheese means avoiding a certain amount of fat later in the day. Same thinking process with carbs and total calories. Everything has a daily limit.
Cholesterol. Cream cheese is high in cholesterol. You can apply smart balance margirine.
