In brief: Depends

Upper respiratory tract infections can predispose a kid undergoing an inhalation anesthesia to develop complications including pneumonia.
You should inform the team that is planning his care so they can decide when it will be safe.

In brief: Depends

We usually like our patients to be 2 weeks out from cough & cold before subjecting them to general anesthesia.
However, will proceed if they have had minor "sniffles" and chest is clear when checked by stethoscope. Best to discuss with his pediatric urologist & in turn with pediatric anesthesiollogist if necessary. This is now cough & cold season, so we get to pospone many surgeries. Good luck.
