Does the use of chalkdust at indoor climbing centres have any health hazards?

In brief: Don't breathe it in

I would not recommend breathing chalkdust in if you can help it, as it could irritate your lungs if you do.
You would be coughing and sneezing. If you're asthmatic, it could induce an attack. Use it on your hands as you need to, but be mindful about it.
