When im on my period I get depressed?

PMS/PMDD. People suffering from depression, mood changes and irritability should be evaluated for pms/pmdd. Birth control pills and other medications can used to help with this problem.
Not unusual. Many women get depressed due to the hormone fluctuations in the cycle. Try to avoid salty snacks and junk food around the time of your period. Remind yourself that it is just a few days then you will feel better. Keep busy, even if you don't feel like it.
