Children who wheeze under age 4 have the greatest chance to outgrow their symptoms. On the contrary, children who develop symptoms around puberty tend not to outgrow their symptoms. The symptoms do tend to improve in both cases as kids become adults. But it's the youngest kids who have the best chance to outgrow their asthma.
