In brief: Infection

With or without the low back pain, a greed stool is frequently a sign of infection and should be cultured and treated.
There are, of course, numerous causes for back pain, and this would be just one of them. Call your physician. He or she will probably ask you to bring a stool sample to the office and come in for an examination. It's the only way to really find out.
