Can sciatica from herniated disc be only numbness/tingling or does it have to include "electricity" or "string-like" pain or pain in general?

Symptoms can vary. A disc herniation can cause a range of symptoms from numbness and tingling to pain radiating down the leg.
Sciatica is. Pain in the leg typically from the back/buttock through to the foot in the back of the leg. Sensation can vary from throbbing to sharp stabbing, electric like feeling or even numbness and tingling sensations can occur.
Sciatica is defined . As pain over the sciatic nerve distribution but a disc herniation can cause neurologic symptoms with or without any pain present. Some initially have both pain and neurologic symptoms and the pain resolves leaving just neurologic symptoms.
