Dr suggested I take birth control pills for a couple months to reset my hormones so I can get pregnant. Good idea?

Are you irregular? If your periods are regular pills won't help you to conceive. If you have irregular cycles or a suspected hormone problem - birth control pills don't help if you have thyroid or prolactin hormone problems or help you ovulate if you have an ovulation disorder like polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos). If you have irregular cycles and are ttc see a reproductive endocrinology and infertility (rei) md.
