In brief: Needs to see dentist

Bleeding or infection can cause a mouth odor. If you have.
Lt taken your child to a dentist yet, do this today. A pediatric dentist is best able to treat your child.

In brief: Dental Trauma

Your child should be seen as soon as possible for an evaluation and treatment by a pedodontist (pediatric dentist).
There are many issues here that need to be addressed by a professional.

In brief: Stitches?

If the child had been seen in er & stitched, iodine was used to clean the wound, which will give a metallic smell.
If not, did the tooth move/change color? Is there a bump above/below it? If the answer is yes to any of these, then the tooth may be infected, causing the odor. If the child has not seen a dentist already, please do, if only to play it safe for the adult tooth growing above/below.
