In brief: Any age

You infant may go to the movies with you at any age.
Whether you go to the movies depends upon your infant's temperament and sleep schedule. If your baby is a sound sleeper for long periods of time you may enjoy your time at the movies. If your baby is more active or a poor sleeper you will either miss a lot of the movie or disturb your fellow movie-goers. You may want to consider renting a movie.

In brief: Why would you?

Over their lifetimes, children rack up way more screen time than is healthy.
We should be looking for ways to postpone and diminish tv, movies, video games, computers, & handhelds of various kinds. Parents should provide family as the entertainment medium, not external content controlled by others. Be outside and moving, not sitting and watching indoors. When inside, children should read.

This is really up to you- whenever you feel comfortable you can bring your baby out.
But lots of people in a closed space may mean more germs around your baby. When your baby is young it may be a better idea to rent dvds and watch them in the comfort of your own home.

In brief: Any age but don't

It is not harmful to take even a newborn to the movies.
However, unless your local theater has a "family showing" please think of others. The odds are your baby will not sleep the whole 2 hours, so you will either be walking the lobby, or disturbing the neighbors.
