How does obesity affect sleep?

Sleep apnea also contributes to insomnia. Since sleep apnea is the number one cause of high blood pressure, anyone who is obese with high blood pressure probably should have a sleep study to check if they stop breathing.
Several ways. Sleep apnea can be caused by obesity and significantly affects sleep as well as health. Also, obesity contributes to body pain and join pain which can impair sleep. It can also contribute to high blood pressure and diabetes both of which can have an affect on urinary trends which might result in increased waking at night. It can also contribute to emotional distress which impairs sleep.
